Ms. Jesca Jiri

Director of Hospitality Services

Ms. Jesca Jiri has devoted her life to the service and care of others, a commitment beautifully manifested in her varied professional roles in Bikita, Zimbabwe. Her journey began in the quiet but significant spaces of her home and community, where she took up the mantle of responsibility for her siblings and family members at a young age. This early immersion into caregiving laid a robust foundation for Jesca, preparing her for a career marked by empathy, responsibility, and relentless dedication.


From 2008 to 2012, Ms. Jesca Jiri served as a Social Worker in the Matsai area, immersing herself in the lives of those she served, providing not just material and logistical support, but also offering the emotional and psychological scaffolding necessary for individuals and families to thrive. Her work in the Matsai area was characterized by a deep understanding of the community's needs and a proactive approach to providing solutions.


Jesca expanded her skill set and service scope as she transitioned into the role of a Village Healthcare Worker in Bikita. Sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare (MOHCW), she underwent an intensive 8-week Village Health Worker Training, acquiring critical knowledge and skills through a rigorous schedule of classroom and practical training. In this capacity, Jesca offered invaluable counseling services on health-related issues to women, men, and youth in her community, becoming a trusted figure and advisor on matters of health and wellbeing.

In 2016, Jesca joined ACTIVE Ministry, bringing her vast reservoir of skills and experience to the table as she took on the role of Hospitality and Finance Officer. This position saw her playing an instrumental role as Theotechnic College was being constructed, meticulously managing not only the financial aspects but also overseeing various human resources responsibilities. She was entrusted with payroll, time management, and general oversight of workers, ensuring a fair and equitable distribution of labor and compensation.


Furthermore, Jesca was responsible for inventory management and purchasing, maintaining detailed records, and implementing systems to track material usage and waste control during construction. Her attention to detail and commitment to efficiency were evident as she navigated through the complexities of construction logistics and resource management.


Beyond her official duties, Jesca's role also extended into hospitality, where she showcased her exceptional skills in meal preparation for construction workers and hosting board members and executives visiting the construction campus. With each responsibility she shouldered, Jesca proved herself to be not just competent but exemplary, earning the trust and respect of her colleagues and superiors.


Jesca Jiri is a paragon of responsibility, trustworthiness, and dependability. In every role she has undertaken, and in every task she has performed, Jesca has exhibited a level of commitment and proficiency that marks her as a standout individual in the fields of hospitality and community service. Her life and career are a testament to her dedication to serving others, making her an invaluable asset to any organization fortunate enough to have her.
